The HDMI 1.4 specification adds support for extremely high video resolutions that go far beyond today’s 1080p systems. 4Kx2K, 4K for short, is 4,096 lines wide by 2,160 lines high or roughly four times the resolution of a 1080p display and is double the number of lines of a typical HD picture, and more than double the number of pixels across the screen – so over four times the resolution. Our 4K x 2K products have been designed to support 4K and they have four times the signal bandwidth and memory will be needed for 3D that doesn’t require glasses, available shortly.

Why not buy products that will work today so you will be 4K ready when you upgrade?

Read more: 4K Products
Coax to HDMI

This is one of the most common questions we get.

Can I just use my COAX cable to convert it to HDMI ? We suggest storing all of your electronics in a cool dry place that is well ventilated to keep them functioning properly. We never suggest using any form of liquid on any electronics. To clean, dust off normal household debris simply take a microfiber cloth and wipe them down.

We do not suggest putting any cleaning liquids direct onto your electronics. CAT5 cable works fine on most resolutions (Component Video) in excess of 500 feet. However, in order to future proof the system, CAT6 (HDMI) would be a worthy investment. It has lower loss, more bandwidth, and less time delay skew than CAT5. These are very desirable in a video system. Both CAT-5 and CAT5e have 100 ohm impedance and electrical characteristics supporting transmissions up to 100 MHz . The differences between CAT-5 and CAT-5E show in all aspects of performance: capacitance, frequency, resistance, and attenuation. CAT-5E components were designed with high-speed gigabit Ethernet in mind. While CAT-5 components may function to some degree in a gigabit Ethernet, they perform below standard during high-data transfer scenarios. CAT-5e cables work with ATM and gigabit speed products. Simply, if you are using a 100Mbps switch, get CAT5e cable instead of CAT-5, especially for HDMI audio/video.

Sony releases its first 4K TV - XBR-84X900

Sony has announced that they will be releasing an 84 inch 4K TV. This is the new wiring technologies by the use of the hdbaset balun technology support.

The hdbaset balun features

Technology wiring is a mechanism used in distributing media contents by using the cables with cost effective plan in mind. This offers the best features.

First, one can send HDMI to 220 feet with one CAT 5 cable. The signals are send in the form of a HDMI audios with video outputs of 1080. Since the extender IR is inbuilt with an HDMI, it allows the remote controls on the IR devices which are located far from the project by getting the signals that are send from within.

By getting the hdbaset balun, one will also get the receiver, the transmitter and an inbuilt infra red module. This is further aided by the many channel features that encompass the digital audios.

For the video lovers, then the machine has the ability to pass on high quality color videos and an EDID technology. It also offers the full bandwidth of IR with up to 80 kHz. It has also 340 MHz worth of bandwidth which can work with devices within 200feet. The machine has the capacity to manage various devices which are in remote locations and display them.

The balun also has the feature of HD BaseT with lite technology up to 70m. This does not support the HDMI 1.4 internet Ethernet connection but can support the fuller 1.3 HDMI formatting.

For protection purposes it has a metal casing black in color, a backward IR, compatible to 3 and 2D and extensions of single cat 6 at 70m.

The specifications

The hdbaset balun comes with specifications that make it among the best. First it has the power supply for direct current at 5 volts, power adapter formats that falls between -15 to +55, can operated in a large variation in humid conditions and ability to transfer data for up to 10.2 Gbps.

The output distances for cabling covers about 12 feet, video cable connection distance at 5 volts and audio support formats. The balun also supports the resolutions set in HDMI, support for various video colors and a high speed 3D connection.

The hdbaset balun comes in two distinct parts. These are the send and receive unit. The sent unit is connected to the source of the HD like a DVD player while on the other hand the receivers are connected to the screen for display jobs. This includes the HDTV 5 or 6 cables which allow the connection from remote locations of up to 100 feet.

The benefits

For people who rely on connections, then the hdbaset balun is essential when the user wants to get the audio and video connection for display and with high definition quality. Due to the HDMI technology used, then it becomes possible to use this machine. The cable connections do not distort the image even for longer distances. These cable connection via the balun can also enable internet connection hence save on costs of cabling.

Need another DirecTV receiver?

Are you wanting to put a new TV in your kitchen but you don't want to lease another DirecTV receiver.

HDTV Supply has a solution for you. Well let me try and explain it for you from what I understand. ARC or Audio Return Channel is a new feature with HDMI 1.4 With ARC this will let you have a one cable solution between your receiver and HDMI ARC supported Television, but you will have to use an HDMI 1.4 rated cable. For example, if you receive your TV signals from an antenna, the audio from those signals goes directly to your TV, and to get the audio from those signals to your receiver, you would have to connect an extra cable (either analog stereo, digital optical, or digital coaxial) from the TV to the home theater receiver for this purpose. However, with Audio Return Channel, you can simply use 1 HDMI cable you already have connected between the TV and the home theater receiver to transfer audio in both directions. You will need to make sure both your receiver and TV support ARC I hope this makes sense :-)

Back to basics - HDMI Splitter or HDMI Switch

We have been getting a lot of calls lately from customers wondering if they need a switch or splitter.
Also calls from customers that ordered a switch and needed a splitter or ordered a splitter and needed a switch.
He are the differences between a HDMI Switch and HDMI Splitter.

HDMI Switches
