This is a good question and we get asked this all the time. We suggest storing all of your electronics in a cool dry place that is well ventilated to keep them functioning properly. We never suggest using any form of liquid on any electronics. To clean, dust off normal household debris simply take a microfiber cloth and wipe them down.
We do not suggest putting any cleaning liquids direct onto your electronics. If you must use a cleaning solutions use very little and put directly onto your micro fiber cloth and then wipe down your electronics.
We are by no means the authority on this, these are just simple solutions that work best for us.

RS-232 is a telecommunications standard for serial communications between devices. It supplies the roadmap for the way devices speak to each other using serial ports.
Here at HDTV Supply we have many products that use RS-232
If your product has RS-232 you should be able to connect your switch to a PC and be able to control the device.
If you have any questions please call us at 800-841-9238

We get a lot of questions about what is a switch, matrix switch and splitter.
Here is the way we try to describe these products
You have 2 or more source devices ( DVD player, satellite receiver ) and you only have 1 input on your TV.
A switch will allow you to switch between your source devices and watch them on your TV
You have 1 source device and multiple TVs
You would like to display your DVD player to 8 different TVs at the same time you would want to look at a splitter
Matrix Switches -
Our our favorite type of switch.
Matrix Switchers will allow any input to be routed to any output or the same input to be routed to all outputs or any combination. Still having a hard time. Just call 800-841-9238 & we'll help
For example you have 8 source devices ( DVD player, satellite receiver, ROKU, AppleTV ) and you have 8 TVs.
With a matrix switch your can watch any source on any or all displays. For example you can watch source 1 on TVs 3 and 4 and source 4 on TVs 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8
